Women in Leadership Certificate
The Women in Leadership Certificate program is designed to prepare women with the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to stand out as impactful and innovative leaders in church, workplace, and society.
The Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Ministry and Leadership is designed for individuals who are involved in church or parachurch activities, and who wish to gain knowledge to improve themselves personally and professionally. Upon graduating, students will be prepared for graduate studies and/or to take a leadership role in their community.
This degree is in partnership with Vanguard University. It explores multiple perspectives of human nature, including cognitive, behavioral, biological, social-cultural, and spiritual. All students learn the skills necessary to conduct research and to carefully evaluate others’ research. The psychology program prepares students for employment, especially in human service agencies, or for graduate study.
This degree, with an emphasis in ministry leadership, prepares students for church staff positions, equips laypeople for effective ministry, and provides substantive foundation for graduate studies.
This degree prepares students for urban and international mission work. Students interested in disaster relief, urban ministry, and overseas ministry should consider this degree as foundational to such ministry development.
This degree is in partnership with North Central University. It is designed to support students in their growth as effective influencers and leaders in a diverse and global environment. Students learn to apply practical, evidence-based solutions to issues in organizational change, group and team dynamics and strategic planning and implementation. Students are equipped with a foundation in Christian ethics and are introduced to the management concepts and theories supporting successful leadership of Christian organizations.
This degree offers rigorous study in biblical, systematic, historical, and practical theology. This degree program invites students to join a learning community that prepares them for advanced study or church ministry.

The highest professional degree for those in church or related ministries is the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree. This particular program is geared toward educated, experienced practitioners who desire to stimulate renewal in themselves and their ministries through the integration of their experience with advanced training, research, and reflection.

Paul Quinn College is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). Paul Quinn College is affiliated with the Association of Institutions of Higher Education of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Jakes Divinity School (JDS) and Paul Quinn College (PQC) are developing a new Executive Master of Business Administration degree program for business executives, entrepreneurs, and Christian leaders. Pending Board approval, JDS and PQC will launch the eMBA program fall 2021. Because the eMBA degree is powered by Paul Quinn College in partnership with Jakes Divinity School, it will be a fully accredited eMBA.
Jakes Divinity School is grateful for the partners. As a new institution for higher learning, JDS has not yet achieved is own accreditation. Students are dually enrolled in Jakes Divinity School and one of our partnering institution based on the particular degree program in which a student is enrolled. Students earn fully accredited degrees from a respective partnering institution as well as frame-worthy diplomas from Jakes Divinity School.
