Steps for Applicants:

  • Official high school and college transcripts
    • All official transcripts should be submitted as follows:

  • Reference Forms
    • Download and complete the Reference Form.
    • In addition to the forms, two letters of recommendation must be submitted by both a pastoral and academic reference. Email the documents to kgreen@jakesdivinity.org with the subject “JDS References – (Your first and last name here)”.
  • Personal Statement
    • Write a detailed statement of purpose describing your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree (include vocational reasons), as well as how your faith is related to this decision. Email your personal statement to kgreen@jakesdivinity.org.
    • Statement must be a minimum of 250 words.
  • Resume
    • Please provide a detailed resume and email it to kgreen@jakesdivinity.org with the subject “JDS Applicant Resume – (Your first and last name here)”.

  • Essay of Intent
    • In an essay format, describe your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree in Strategic Leadership at NCU and how it will benefit you in the future. Email your personal statement to nthompson@jakesdivinity.org.
    • Essay must be a minimum of 1 page in length and be typed on a MSWord document.
  • Character Reference.
    • (This form should be completed by an employer, mentor, professor, or a present leader or professional in your life.)  This is the reference form that must be completed.

Complete the DMIN Inquiry Questionnaire to receive an online application. 

  • Official high school and college transcripts

  • Academic Writing Sample 

The academic writing sample must be from a previous educational experience or be academic in nature of any subject matter.

This form should be completed by a ministry supervisor and two personal  

references.

Steps for applicants without accredited Master of Divinity degree:  

Prospective students without an earned Master of Divinity degree from an accredited educational institution will have to establish M.Div. equivalency by submitting a portfolio. It is an internal courtesy service that Jakes Divinity School offers to prospective D.Min. students to determine whether or not the prospect is qualified to apply for admission to the D.Min. program.
