at Jakes Divinity School in Partnership with God’s Leading Ladies
Jakes Divinity School is excited to announce our new Women in Leadership Certificate program!
In partnership with Serita Jakes’ widely celebrated enrichment program, God’s Leading Ladies, this six-week, interactive program is uniquely curated to prepare women with the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to stand out as impactful and innovative leaders in the church, workplace, and society. The Women in Leadership curriculum will feature courses that delve into the essentials of strategic leadership, effective communication strategies, networking, work-life balance, and more!

All Women in Leadership Certificate classes will be taught within a cohort. When you register, you are committing to the dates within the six weeks of the cohort and to be present at the Saturday Zoom sessions with your instructor. All classes are online using Zoom and the Canvas Learning Management System. Zoom sessions are on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30am CT with post-class learning activities offered online in the Canvas Learning Management System.

Fall 2024 Cohort Class Dates:
September 29, 2024 – November 15, 2024
The program is 100% online using Zoom and the Canvas Learning Management System to deliver the course content each week.
$900.00 total cost of program
Click here to register. Full payment of $900.00 is required at the time of your registration. Students will receive immediate registration confirmation and access to the courses in the Canvas Learning Management System 24-48 hrs. prior to the start of the course. Please note that enrollment is first come first serve until all spots are filled. Spots will fill up fast; so, don’t delay your registration!
Registration deadline for Fall 2023 is September 15, 2023.
Refund Policy:
Refunds are not available for the Women in Leadership Certificate program. After payment has been made, no refunds will be processed. If you cannot attend during the term you registered for, please contact Kezia Green at kegreen@jakesdivinity.org about transferring your registration fee to attend during the next term.
The WIL certificate program is not eligible for federal financial aid (FAFSA) because it is a non-credit certificate program which means the courses within the program are not applicable toward a degree but are only being taken to improve your leadership development and/or professional or personal enrichment.
There are currently no scholarships or payment plans available.
Women who have completed Mrs. Serita Jakes’ God’s Leading Ladies program may be eligible to register at a discounted rate. Please contact Nyesha Thompson at 469-315-1198 or by email at nthompson@tdjakes.org for more information.
In addition to developing knowledge and skills, you will receive a certificate as proof of your accomplishment delivered to your email after you have successfully completed the six courses of the program within your cohort.

Courses
This course will give women in leadership an understanding of the importance of identifying and managing their own emotions and those of others as effective tools for successful leadership.
This course will identify the qualities and skills needed to become a strategic leader to include expressing strategic vision, influencing organizational members, executing organizational change, promoting innovation, and cultivating productive environments.
This course will equip women leaders with the knowledge, skills and techniques needed to effectively negotiate, give and receive feedback, interpret nonverbal language, manage conflict resolution, and understand gender differences in communication.
This course will teach women leaders the importance of personal development and becoming a self-leader by executing self-awareness in every area of her life and learning responsibility and accountability for her own actions.
This course will provide effective strategies and skills needed to manage healthy and realistic balance between professional, personal, and other important aspects of life for women in leading roles.
This course will teach women in leadership the essentials of building networks and teams and their impact on successful business practices and outcomes.
