Faith Statement

“The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of humankind, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.”

God

There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He is fully God and fully man. According to the Scriptures, He died on the cross as the final and sufficient sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven. He now serves as our High Priest and Advocate. As Romans 1:4 declares, “He was appointed the Son of God in power by His resurrection from the dead.”

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, convict the world of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower believers for godly living and service. Human beings, created in God’s image, fell into sin and are spiritually lost. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation and spiritual life.

Salvation

Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. His shed blood and resurrection provide the only basis for justification and reconciliation with God. Those who receive Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of Christ is the believer’s blessed hope and a call to faithful living and service.

The Last Things

At the appointed time, there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead. The living will be transformed at the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ. Final judgment will follow, resulting in eternal blessedness and joy for the redeemed, and eternal conscious punishment for the unrepentant.

The Church

The true Church consists of all who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. They are united in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head.

Baptism and Communion

Water baptism by immersion, following personal faith in Christ, symbolizes the believer’s death to sin and resurrection to new life. The Lord’s Supper is a sacred memorial of Christ’s death. It is to be observed by all true believers as a proclamation of His sacrifice until He comes.
